Er. L. C. Tolani, a hard-core young technical professional founded the PRAGYA in 1992 as a first tiny scale unit called Pragya Hydro Equipments. His intense knowledge and focus on expanding business resulted in grand success of the company. With a workforce of fewer than ten employees, Pragya Hydro Equipments, had a first-year turnover of less than one million rupees in 1992. Today, the groups sales is over 250 million rupees, and there are more than 200 employees. Over 30% of the sales from this are shipped to the United States, Canada, the Philippines, Germany, Italy, Iran, Greece, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Nigeria, Nepal, Sharjah, and the United Arab Emirates. Tolani, Chairman of the Pragya Group of Industries, received the STATE GOVERNMENT (MP) AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE (BEST SSI UNIT)" from the Ministry of Industry MP. Shri Kailash Vijaywargiya, the Honble Minister of Madhya Pradesh Department of Commerce, Industries & Employment, Information Technology, Science, and Technology, gave this award. On September 23, 1997, in New Delhi, Dr. S. Venugopalchari, Minister of State for Agriculture (Govt. of India), gave the BHARAT VIKAS AWARD to Mr. L.C. Tolani, Chairman of the Pragya Group.
